BBQ Birthday in Banska Stiavnica

Estamos aquí otra vez de vuelta, con mucho retraso en las actualizaciones, voy a intentar poner al día todo lo sucedido.

El finde del 11 al 13 de abril fuimos a la ciudad de Stiavnica a celebrar el cumpleaños de una compañera checa en una scouthouse, fuimos más de 30 voluntarios de Eslovaquia.

Fue un weekend genial, conocimos a mucha gente, reencuentros con otros voluntarios y con la organizadora del evento, Janka.

El sábado fue un día soleado dónde celebramos la barbacoa en el jardín de la casa, toda clase de carne y verduras, una tarde fantástica. Acabamos visitando la ciudad y pasando una buena noche después de una noche de shisha y juegos.

El domingo, los que quedamos, después de un gran desayuno, visitamos el lago haciendo una pequeña ruta de senderismo y al famoso calvario.

Fue un evento genial, para empezar una semana corta de trabajo ya que fueron las vacaciones de Pascua, el cual realicé un viaje con mi amiga Gema a Estambul, que os contaré pronto.

We're back here again, very late in the updates  I'll try to update you all that happened.

The weekend 11th to 13th April we went to the city of Stiavnica to celebrate the birthday of a Czech partner in a scouthouse, we were more than 30 volunteers from Slovakia.

It was a great weekend, we met many people, meetings with other volunteers and the organizer of the event, Janka.

Saturday was a sunny day where we celebrate the barbecue in the garden of the house, all kinds of meat and vegetables, a fantastic afternoon. Just visiting the city and having a good night with shisha and games.

On Sunday, after a great breakfast, we visited the lake making a small hiking trail and the famous Calvary to the top of hill.

It was a great event to start working short week as they were the Easter holidays, which we made ​​a trip with my friend Gema to Istanbul, I will tell you soon.

APV in Detva - Proyecto

Bienvenidos otra vez al blog.

En esta última entrada os voy a contar sobre una Visita Preparatoria de los líderes de Polonia y República Checa que vinieron a Detva para organizar en mayo un intercambio juvenil para la población gitana.

Fue un sábado intenso, donde fuimos de senderismo por la región durante toda la mañana y después de un buen almuerzo, pasamos la tarde en el centro de ocio viendo las presentaciones de cada grupo y los diferentes jóvenes de la localidad sobre su ocio y tiempo libre.

Después de una tarde soleada y de buen tiempo, hablando, conociéndonos, pasamos una velada tranquila después de la cena y terminando una corta pero intensa visita y un domingo pasando la tarde recogiendo la basura del monte y descansando al sol.

Esa semana fue intensa en mi trabajo, las clases de primaria y a la secundaria, las manualidades, con mis clases de guitarra.

Al siguiente fin de semana fue muy tranquilo, saliendo con los amigos, asistiendo al partido de Balonmano femenino y comenzando otra semana última de trabajo antes de la Pascua, que me espera celebraciones, viaje al extranjero y un intercambio juvenil. Pero eso os contaré en las próximas entradas.

Welcome back to the blog.

In this last post I'll tell you about a Advance Planning Visit leaders of Poland and Czech Republic who came to Detva to organize in May a youth exchange for Roma people.

It was a busy Saturday where we went trekking in the region all morning and after we took a good lunch, we spent the afternoon at the leisure center watching the presentations of each group and the different local youth about their leisure time.

After a sunny afternoon and a good time, talking, knowing each other, we spent a quiet evening after dinner and ending a short but intense visit, and spending a Sunday afternoon picking up litter from the forest and resting in the sun.

That week was intense in my work, primary classes and secondary, crafts, my guitar lessons.

The next weekend was very quiet, hanging out with friends, attending the Women's Handball match and starting another job last week before the Easter celebrations awaits me, traveling abroad and a youth exchange. But I will tell you that in the next posts.

Slovak Paradise

Ahoj!!

Aquí os voy a contar el fin de semana que pasamos en las montañas eslovacas un grupo de voluntarios para pasar unas jornadas de senderismo en el famoso Slovensky Raj o Slovak Paradise.

First dinner

Después de una semana ajetreada de trabajo y por fin presentado nuestro intercambio juvenil, el viernes  22 de marzo marché para Poprad, allí coincidimos con los demás y fuimos a las montañas donde teníamos reservado nuestras cabañas.

Con las compras realizadas para pasar los días disfrutamos de una noche de risas, juegos y charlas acostarse temprano para realizar la ruta al día siguiente.

El sábado por la mañana preparamos todo y fuimos de senderismo por la montaña, una ruta que duró unas 8 horas pero fue increible, cruzando el río, escalando las cascadas en una pequeña escalera, cruzando acantilados solo con una cadena y sin protección, estos eslovacos no tienen mucho sentido de la seguridad, pero al fin y al cabo, fue un día genial, soleado, cálido y unas vistas maravillosas de la naturaleza, deseando repetir en otra ocasión en otras rutas diferentes de este paraiso.

Después de una jornada intensiva, llegamos a nuestras cabañas, una buena ducha y la cena para pasar a una noche tranquila de juegos ya que estábamos cansados del día y a la mañana siguiente teníamos que volver temprano a nuestros lugares. Corto pero intenso finde, que sin duda, volveremos a repetir en un futuro próximo.

Mientras tanto, cada uno de nosotros sigue en su rutina hasta la próxima reunión.

Mid-break

Here I'm gonna tell  you the weekend we spent in the Slovak mountains a group of volunteers to few days hiking in the famous Slovak Paradise or Slovensky Raj.

After a busy work week and finally presented our youth exchange, on Friday March 22nd I went to Poprad, there we join with the others and went to the mountains where we had booked our cottages.

With purchases made to spend the days we enjoyed a night of laughs, games and talks, we went to bed early for the next day 's hicking.

On Saturday morning we prepare everything and went hiking in the mountains, a route which took about 8 hours but it was incredible, across the river, climbing waterfalls in a small staircase, crossing cliffs just with a chain and unprotected, these Slovaks have little sense of security, but at the end of the day, it was a great day, sunny, warm and wonderful views of nature, hoping to repeat another time in other different routes in this paradise.

After an intensive day, we arrived at our cottages, a good shower and dinner we spent a quiet game night as we were tired from the day and the next morning we had to return early to our places. Short but intense weekend, we will certainly return to repeat in the near future.

Meanwhile, each of us stay in your routine to the next meeting.

Aquí estamos de vuelta, cómo ya visteis en anteriores entregas, ha sido un mes sin parar, un viaje a Belgrado por las vacaciones de primavera, el mid-training y una preparatoria para un intercambio juvenil realizado por mi asociación española, podéis leerlo en el siguiente enlace: APV en Eslovenia

Miguel in Budapest

Tuve una semana de trabajo donde seguimos con el proyecto habitual, en las clases pero con una novedad, todos los miércoles también doy clase en una escuela primaria. El fin de semana hicimos el primer maratón de films en el centro de juventud pero no tuvo la acogida suficiente y fue cancelada.

El domingo viajé hasta Budapest para recoger a mi hermano al aeropuerto, deseando verle después de casi 6 meses sin ver a nadie de mi familia. Después de un grato reencuentro, fuimos al hostal y descansamos para empezar el tour por la ciudad. El primer día estuvimos por la parte de Buda, viendo toda la parte antigua y sobre todo disfrutando del clima y por la noche disfrutamos de la vida nocturna en uno de los más famosos bares de la ciudad. El martes fuimos a Pest, allí vimos la Plaza de los Héroes, el castillo, un paseo por el parque y sobre todo un día de relax para el día siguiente salir a Bratislava. El míércoles fue un día corto en la capital eslovaca, una visita al centro y almuerzo típico, un paseo por la ciudad y tomar el bus para Praga.

El jueves después de descansar hicimos la ruta por la ciudad, todo el centro, la catedral y los maravillosos lugares de la capital checa. Un día increible donde nos acompañó toda la semana el sol y cenamos en la plaza central una rica comida y noche en un bar de copas decorado al estilo comic.

El viernes fue una jornada tranquila, visitamos el muro de John Lennon, un muro de graffiti de la reivindicación juvenil en la época comunista, el museo de arte contemporáneo, también me encontré con mi amiga eslovena Janja. 

Acabamos la noche con unas amigas que conocimos en Budapest y coincidimos en Praga en nuestro hostel y terminamos de fiesta en uno de los mejores pub de rock de la ciudad.

Al día siguiente, tomamos el bus para volver, yo me quedé en Bratislava y mi hermano fue para Budapest para tomar su avión de vuelta a España, una semana inolvidable.

Unas vacaciones familiares increible, y aunque todavía queda mucho, esperando para la de mi padre en agosto.

Here we are back, how, and you saw in previous installments, it's been a month without stopping, a trip to Belgrade for spring break, the mid -training and preparatory for a youth exchange done by my Spanish association, you can read it in the following link: APV in Slovenia

I had a week where we work with the usual project in class but with a new release, every Wednesday also I teach in a primary school. The weekend we did the first marathon of films in the youth center but did not have enough host and was canceled.

On Sunday I traveled to Budapest to pick up my brother at the airport, looking forward him after almost 6 months without seeing anyone from my family. After a pleasant reunion, we went to the hostel and rested to start the city tour. The first day we were on the Buda side, we saw all the old and especially enjoying the weather and at night we enjoyed the nightlife in one of the most famous bars in the city. On Tuesday we went to Pest, there we saw the Heroes Square, the Castle, a walk in the park and above all a relaxing day for the next day go to Bratislava. Wednesday was a short day in the Slovak capital, a visit to the center and a typical lunch, a walk around town and take the bus to Prague.

Thursday we did the tour of the city, around the center, the cathedral and the beautiful places in the Czech capital. An amazing day where we walked the sun all week and ate at the central square a meal and night at a cocktail bar decorated in comic style.

Friday was a quiet day, we visited the John Lennon´s wall, a wall of graffiti of ypung claim in the communist era, the contemporary art museum, also I met my friend Slovenia Janja.

We ended the night with some friends who we met in Budapest and in Prague we agree to our hostel and ended up partying in one of the best rock pub in town.

The next day we took the bus to return, I stayed in Bratislava and my brother went to Budapest to take his flight back to Spain, a memorable week.

A family vacation amazing, and although much remains, waiting for my father in August.

Mid-term training

Bienvenidos a mi blog ;)

Después de un mes muy ajetreado, vuelvo a la rutina, y para poner al día mis aventuras, en esta entrada os voy a contar sobre el Curso Intermedio a nuestro voluntariado.

En esta ocasión, todos los voluntarios del Curso a la llegada nos juntamos en Zemplinska Sirava, en un hotel militar en el este de Eslovaquia en mitad del lago más grande del país, nos volvimos a juntar todos y todas después de casi 4 meses, con dos ausencias pero todo de maravilla, en este curso que duró un día menos os voy a resumir lo sucedido.

Lunes 24 Febrero

Prácticamente fue un día de reencuentro y saber cómo nos había ido durante estos 4 últimos meses, ya que el viaje fue bastante largo para casi todos, en mi caso, unas 6 horas en bus hasta el lugar. Así que solo fue una sesión de juegos en equipo y una pequeña fiesta nocturna y descansar.

Martes 25 Febrero

Fue una mañana completamente dedicada a hablar sobre nuestro EVS y como iba el trabajo, todo de forma individual, con juegos y dinámicas entre medias.

Muy curioso era el almuerzo y la cena, donde teníamos que quedarnos siempre en las mismas mesas porque había que elegir el menú desde el primer día y para los demás días siempre tenía que ser el mismo sitio.

Después del almuerzo seguimos con las presentaciones y más dinámicas de juegos, todas ellas increibles.

Por la tarde tuvimos tiempo de disfrutar de la piscina y una noche amena y divertida de música y baile.

Miércoles 26 Febrero

Esa mañana fue un poco fría pero hicimos una ruta de senderismo hasta las ruinas de un castillo donde disfrutamos de las vistas y nos entregaron nuestra carta que escribimos a la llegada. Después de una mañana increible, regresamos al almuerzo y la tarde la dedicamos a hacer dinámicas de juegos, actividades.

Después de la cena, hicimos una velada dónde cada uno hablábamos sobre nuestro futuro y continuó con bailes y música.

El training continuó al día siguiente con una evaluación y cómo preparar el youthpass pero yo tuve que irme por la mañana temprano ya que tenía otro proyecto ajeno a mi EVS, que lo veréis en la siguiente entrada.

After a very busy month, back to routine, and to update my adventures, in this post I will tell you about the Mid-Training course.

Castle

This time, all volunteers upon arrival Course in Zemplinska Sirava got together in a military hotel in eastern Slovakia in the middle of the country's largest lake, we got back everyone together after almost 4 months, with two absences but all great in this course that lasted a day earlier and I am going to summarize what happened.

Monday February 24

Was practically a day of reunion and knowing how we had gone over the last 4 months, since the trip was quite long for almost everyone, in my case, about 6 hours by bus to the place. So it was only a session of team games and a small party night and rest.

Tuesday February 25

It was a morning entirely devoted to talk about our EVS and as I was working, all individually and dynamic games between.

Very curious was lunch and dinner, where we always stay in the same tables because we had to choose the menu from day to other days and always had to be the same place.

After lunch we continue with presentations and more dynamic games, all incredible.

In the afternoon we had time to enjoy the pool and have fun and an entertaining evening of music and dancing.

Wednesday February 26

That morning was a bit cold but we did a hiking trail to the ruins of a castle where we enjoyed the sights and the monitors gave us our letter we wrote to arrival. After an incredible morning, back to lunch and the afternoon was spent making dynamics of games, activities.

Last night

After dinner, we made an evening where everyone talked about our future and continued with dancing and music.

The training continued the next day with an assessment and prepare the YOUTHPASS but I had to leave early in the morning becuase I had another project outside my EVS, which you will see in the next entry.
