THE END? - EL FINAL?

Pues casi un año después de irme a Eslovaquia, aquí estoy escribiendo como fueron mis últimos días.

Aquí os voy a hablar de las dos últimas semanas, empezando con mi amigo Peter que se iba a trabajar de farmacéutico a República Checa y antes aprovechamos para ir a un festival de soplado de vidrio y disfrutar del día charlando y deseándonos suerte.

Esa última semana hicimos muchas reuniones con mis chicas favoritas, las hermanas Chlebnicanova, Livia y Patricia, donde quedamos después de mucho tiempo a disfrutar de la tarde fumando shisha y bebiendo diferentes tés en la tetería. Una velada muy divertida.

Al día siguiente Patricia me enseñó su trabajo con los scouts y las actividades con los niños.

Ese viernes Matej, Adka, las hermanas y Gabi y Pablo hicieron una fiesta de despedida, dónde tuvimos una buena barbacoa, bebida y música hasta bien entrada la madrugada.

El sábado me levanté temprano y me dirigí a Bojnice, a hacer mi último viaje por Eslovaquia a ver uno de los castillos más bonitos, al llegar quedé con mi couchsurfer y con Gio y Gema estuvimos hablando y contando nuestras experiencias. Jaro, con quién me quedé allí me mostró el castillo y los lugares más bonitos del pueblo y por la noche tuvimos una gran fiesta con sus amigos. Un fin de semana espectacular.

La última semana fue tranquila, despidiéndome de toda la gente de Detva, en la escuela, el instituto, mis colegas de trabajo. El miércoles y jueves noche estuve con mis queridas hermanas que me hicieron una despedida con juegos, regalos y un farolillo chino para escribir nuestros deseos para el futuro y el día de despedida con Pablo y Gabi en la tetería y despedirme de Adela, mi camarera favorita.

Así pasó mi último día en Detva y el viernes me dirigí a Zilina dónde me reencontré con varia gente del intercambio y el sábado a Bratislava dónde me quedé con mi querida amiga Daniela y pasamos una noche de fiesta en el subclub con Simon y muchos amigos. Una noche loca de despedida dónde no dormí y el domingo 28 septiembre tomé el avión de regreso a España dónde mi padre y mi hermano me recogieron y al llegar a mi casa, me hicieron una gran fiesta de bienvenida con mis tios y amigos con comida típica y una tarde inolvidable.

Aquí llega a su fin mis aventuras del EVS, espero que lo hayáis disfrutado leyendo y a los que podáis os animo a vivir esta aventura, es una experiencia inolvidable. Pero esto no es el fin, es el comienzo de otra etapa, que os la contaré llegado el momento.

Almost a year after I go Slovakia, here I am writing as were my last days. 
Here I will talk about the last two weeks, starting with my friend Peter who went to work as a pharmacist to Czech Republic and before we took the opportunity to go to a festival of blowing glass and enjoy the day chatting and wishing us luck. 
This last week we did many meetings with my favorite girls, Chlebnicanova sisters, Livia and Patricia, where after a while we were enjoying the afternoon smoking shisha and drinking different teas in the tea room. A very funny evening. 
The next day, Patricia showed me her work with scouts and activities with children. 
That Friday Matej, Adka, sisters and Gabi and Pablo made ​​me a farewell party, where we had a good barbecue, drink and music until late night. 
On Saturday I got up early and went to Bojnice, I did my last trip to Slovakia to see one of the most beautiful castles, upon arrival I was with my couchsurfer Jaro and other friends Gema, Gio we were talking and telling our experiences. Jaro, who stayed there the castle and showed me the nicest places in town and at night we had a big party with his friends. A spectacular weekend. 
Last week was quiet, saying goodbye to all the people of Detva, school, high school, my work colleagues. On Wednesday and Thursday night I was with my dear sisters who made me a farewell with games, gifts and a Chinese lantern to write our wishes for the future and the day of parting with Pablo and Gabi in the tearoom and say goodbye to Adela, my favorite waitress.

So spent my last day in Detva and Friday I went to Zilina where I met again with several people sharing feelings and on Saturday I went to Bratislava where I stayed with my dear friend Daniela and spent a night in the sub-club with Simon and many friends. A crazy night where I did not sleep. On Sunday 28th September I took the plane back to Spain where my father and my brother picked me up and get to my house, they gave me a great welcome party with my uncles and friends with typical food and an unforgettable afternoon.

Youth Exchange in Zilina

Bienvenidos a mi blog, en esta entrada os voy a contar sobre un Intercambio juvenil que se realizó en la ciudad de Zilina del 28 de agosto al 6 de septiembre.

Un mes antes Tereza me invitó para participar en este proyecto, así que el 28 por la tarde tomé el tren y llegué a la fundación dónde me iba a alojar durante toda la semana, allí conocí a muchos voluntarios y a los participantes del proyecto que eran de varios paises, República Checa, Irlanda, Alemania, Turquía y Portugal, y voluntarios eslovacos y eslovenos.

El objetivo de este intercambio fue prepararnos para un festival internacional que se celebra en Zilina durante 25 años sobre creatividad y fantasía trabajando con la gente discapacitada, el tema de este año fue "Las 1001 noches" sobre Oriente desde el 3 al 5 de septiembre. El primer día fue de conocimiento de la gente mediante juegos, varias dinámicas, se hicieron juegos de bailes orientales y disfraces. Después de disfrazarnos con temática oriental, todos los participantes y voluntarios fuimos a la plaza de la ciudad para promocionar el festival que se iba a celebrar al final de la semana, fue un comienzo magnífico, como curiosidad, los almuerzos y las cenas las tuvimos en varios restaurantes de la ciudad, variando casi todos los días.

El día 30 conocimos a Jean-Marie, el trainer que iba a preparar la obra de teatro que íbamos a realizar en la inauguración del Festival, ese día hicimos una pequeña ruta a las afueras de la ciudad y fuimos a un bonito parque dónde con él hicimos varias dinámicas de drama, actuación y varios juegos. Por la tarde volvimos a la fundación y vimos como los voluntarios trabajaban para preparar los decorados del festival, pintando y usando todo tipo de material. Por la noche se celebró la noche intercultural dónde cada país participante presentó su cultura y comida, fue una velada muy amena dónde disfrutamos sin parar.

El 31 de agosto se hicieron 3 grupos para preparar la obra de teatro que se iba a realizar el primer día del festival el miércoles 3 de septiembre, un grupo fue para Drama, otro para Baile y el tercero para Música. Así una vez formados los grupos se hizo una sesión conjunta de danza del vientre y después cada grupo trabajó su parte, la tarde elegimos los instrumentos a tocar y ensayar, acabamos la noche con un concierto en la fundación.

El lunes 1 y el martes 2 de septiembre fueron jornadas de preparación por grupos para la obra y el miércoles 3 se hizo el ensayo final y se hizo la obra con todo el público, el resultado fue espectacular y después nos dirigimos a la plaza para comenzar el festival y el concierto que se celebraba a continuación.

El jueves 4 fue una jornada intensiva de talleres realizados por los voluntarios de la fundación a lo largo de la ciudad, dónde todos participábamos y gente con discapacidad proveniente de Eslovaquia y otros paises, fue muy divertido y acabó el día con un espectáculo de fuego y fiesta.

El viernes 5, todos levantamos muy temprano para el bazar preparado para el festival, una jornada de actividades y juegos en la plaza, acabamos la tarde con la evaluación final del proyecto y una fiesta de despedida en la antigua sinagoga y fiesta sin parar y despidiendo a los países poco a poco hasta el día siguiente que se fue el último grupo y yo me quedé hasta el domingo, que celebramos una barbacoa y una fiesta.

Un proyecto increible que quedará en nuestra memoria, siendo una de mis últimas actividades del verano. Hasta la próxima.

Welcome to my blog, in this post I'll tell you about a youth exchange held in the city of Zilina from 28th August to 6th September. 

A month before Tereza invited me to participate in this project, so the 28th afternoon I took the train and arrived at the foundation where I would be staying all week, where I met many volunteers and participants of the project from several countries, Czech Republic, Ireland, Germany, Turkey and Portugal, and slovak and slovenian volunteers.

Theater

The purpose of this exchange was to prepare for an international festival held in Zilina for 25 years on creativity and imagination working with disabled people, the theme this year was "1001 Nights" from 3rd to 5th September. The first day was getting know each other through games, several dynamic games, oriental dances and costumes were made. After disguise with oriental theme, all participants and volunteers went to the town square to promote the festival was to be held at the end of the week, was a great start, as a curiosity, lunches and dinners the we had in several restaurants in town, varying almost every day.

On the 30th we met Jean-Marie, the trainer that would prepare the play we were going to perform at the opening of the Festival, that day we did a little tour on the outskirts of the city and went to a nice park where he made several dynamics of drama, acting and various games. In the afternoon we returned to the foundation and watched as volunteers worked to prepare the sets of the festival, painting and using all types of material. At night was the intercultural evening where each participating country presented its culture and food, it was a very enjoyable evening where we enjoy endlessly.

On 31st August, 3 groups were made to prepare the play that was to be held the first day of the festival on Wednesday, September 3rd, a group was for Drama, one for dancing and one for music. So once formed the groups made ​​a joint session of belly dance and then each group worked its part, later chose to play instruments and training, we ended the evening with a concert at the foundation. 

On Monday 1st and Tuesday 2nd September were preparation for the play and Wednesday 3rd was the final test and the play was done with the public, the result was spectacular and then headed to the square to start festival and concert. 

On Thursday 4th was an intensive day of workshops conducted by the volunteers of the foundation over the city, where all shared and people with disabilities from Slovakia and other countries, it was fun and ended the day with a fire show and party.

On Friday 5th all got up early to the bazaar prepared for the festival, a day of activities and games in the square, just the afternoon with the final evaluation of the project and a farewell party in the old synagogue and farewell nonstop party countries gradually until the next day that the last group left and I stayed until Sunday, we held a barbecue and party.
