Eurotrip con mi padre - with my father

Hola de nuevo, aquí os cuento como fue el viaje con mi padre. Os lo cuento desde mi cuarto en un verano fresquito y lluvioso. 

Después del Festival en Ruzina, fui a Bratislava donde me quedé con mi amiga Anna y tuvimos una velada con otros amigos.

Prater - Viena

El Domingo 10 de Agosto me dirigí al aeropuerto a recogerlos, allí estaba mi padre, Juana y dos amigas suyas esperándome. Después de un desayuno tomamos el bus hacia Vienna, llegamos a nuestro hotel y tras una buena ducha nos dirigimos al centro y disfrutaron de la magnífica catedral y de la zona. Cenamos en un restaurante griego y con nuestra Sachertorte, un pastel típico austriaco.

Al día siguiente, seguimos con la ruta por Vienna, les hice la ruta por el anillo, la zona de los museos, el parlamento, el ayuntamiento, y después nos dirigimos a Karlplatz y terminamos en Prater para disfrutar de un buen parque de atracciones y de la noria más antigua. La noche fuimos a ver un concierto de música clásica en el centro muy entretenido.

El último día en Vienna fue muy lluvioso, pero lo dedicamos a visitar los palacios, fuimos al Shonbrunn, el famoso palacio de María Teresa y Sisi emperatriz, dónde visitamos su interior y los jardines. El resto del día visitamos el otro palacio y dimos un paseo nocturno por el Danubio.

El miércoles salimos en bus hacia Budapest, allí tomamos el metro y nos dirigimos hacia nuestro apartamento, una maravilla de lugar y muy cómodo cerca del Puente de las cadenas, comimos por el centro y visitamos la Basílica dónde tuvimos unas panorámicas espectaculares. 

A la mañana siguiente después de un buen desayuno hicimos la ruta por la sinagoga judía y después vimos toda la parte de Buda, fue el día más lluvioso de la semana, pero fue muy productivo. Vimos el mercado y cruzamos el puente de la liberación, el castillo, hasta llegar a la isla Margarita y el Parlamento. La noche salimos a cenar y a descansar después de un día largo.

El último día en Budapest nos dirigimos hacia la Plaza de los Heroes y después de hacer un paseo en barca en el lago dimos un paseo por el castillo y los jardines y comimos cerca de los balnearios.

El día más lluvioso

Volvimos a la zona de Buda tomando el Metro 1, el más antiguo de la Europa continental, allí vimos la famosa Iglesia de San Matías y después de un descanso fuimos a la zona de copas para mostrarles el Szimpla, el pub ruina más antiguo.
El sábado tomamos nuestro bus para Bratislava dónde llegamos al hostal, y visitamos el centro, después de un buen almuerzo de comida típica, subimos al castillo y disfrutamos del resto de la ciudad terminando con el Palacio presidencial y la iglesia azul.

Por la noche dimos un paseo por el Danubio tomando unas copas y una bebida típica en un pub-barco para despedir la semana.
El domingo fui a despedirlos al aeropuerto y yo volví a Detva a descansar de un buen viaje con mi padre alrededor de centro europa.

Hello again, here I am telling as was the trip with my father. I tell you from my room on a cool and rainy summer. 
After Ruzina Festival, I went to Bratislava where I stayed with my friend Anna and we had an evening with other friends. 

On 10th Sunday August I headed to the airport to pick them up, there was my father, Juana and two of her friends waiting. After breakfast we took the bus to Vienna, we arrived at our hotel and after a good shower we went downtown and enjoyed the magnificent cathedral and the area. We had dinner at a Greek restaurant and our Sachertorte, a typical Austrian cake. 
The next day, we continue with the route in Vienna, I made the route through the ring, area museums, parliament, city hall, and then proceeded to Karlplatz and ended up in Prater to enjoy a good amusement park and the oldest ferris wheel. The night we went to see a classical music concert in the center. 

Slovak pub - Bratislava

The last day in Vienna was very rainy, but spent visiting the palace, we went to Shonbrunn, the famous palace of Maria Theresa and Empress Sisi, where we visited the interior and grounds. The rest of the day visiting the other palace and took an evening stroll along the Danube. 
On Wednesday we went by bus to Budapest, there we took the subway and headed to our apartment, wonderful place and very comfortable near the Chain Bridge, ate up the middle and visited the Basilica where we had spectacular views. 
The next morning after a good breakfast we took the route through the Jewish synagogue and then saw all the Buda side, it was the wettest day of the week, but it was very productive. We saw the market and crossed the bridge of the release, the castle, down to Margaret Island and Parliament. The night we went out to dinner and relax after a long day. 
The last day in Budapest we headed towards the Heroes Square and after a boat ride on the lake took a walk around the castle and grounds and ate near the spas. 

Última noche

We returned to the Buda taking the Metro 1, the oldest in continental Europe, there we saw the famous Matthias Church and after a break went to the drinking area to show the Szimpla, the oldest pub ruin. 
On Saturday we took our bus to Bratislava where we arrived at the hostel, and visited the center after a good lunch of traditional food, we went to the castle and enjoyed the rest of the city ending with the Presidential Palace and the Blue Church. 
In the evening we strolled along the Danube having drinks and a typical drink in a pub-boat to dismiss week. 
On Sunday I went to the airport to see them off and went back to rest Detva a good trip with my father around Central Europe.

Caves and Eastern Slovakia - Cuevas y el Este de Eslovaquia

Aquí estoy de nuevo para poner al día mi blog antes del esperado viaje por centroeuropa con mi padre.

Después del campamento en Terchova, la última semana de julio la pasé en mi ciudad descansando y visitando la tetería con los amigos, para organizar el primer finde de agosto un viaje por el este de Eslovaquia.

Cave

El viernes 1 de agosto, después de madrugar y una buena caminata llegué a Gombasecka, una preciosa cueva kárstica, antes de entrar comí y conocí a la guía que hablaba español ya que estudió en una escuela bilingüe, hizo la guía en eslovaco y para mí en español. Un lugar maravilloso con sus magníficas figuras y decoraciones y colores. 

Por la tarde, llegué a Kosice, una ciudad super bonita que fue Capital Europea de la Cultura en 2013, la tarde y la noche estuve viendo la ciudad y disfrutando de sus bares y ocio nocturno. En un pub me encontré con un español y su couchsurfer, que me ofrecieron pasar la noche en su casa, ya que no tenía alojamiento, así que acepté y al día siguiente, después de una buena ducha y descanso, visitamos la ciudad, el centro, la increible catedral y disfrutamos de sus helados y de las ruinas de la antigua muralla.

Por la tarde fuí a Presov, otra bonita ciudad de Eslovaquia, aunque al principio cayó una gran tormenta, después se despejó y disfruté del maravilloso centro, pequeño pero lleno de vida nocturna.

Como no encontré alojamiento, pasé la noche disfrutando de distintos bares y pubs hasta que salió mi primer bus a Poprad, allí ya en domingo vi el centro, que no era gran cosa y tomé el bus hacia la cueva de hielo, después de una ruta de senderismo, llegué a la entrada y durante media hora la temperatura fue muy baja y ver una maravilla de la naturaleza, todo el interior de hielo.

Después de este gran espectáculo, tomé el tren de regreso y a descansar la semana y trabajar un par de días en un festival de rock eslovaco en Ruzina, con un bonito lago.

Y ahora camino a Bratislava a recoger a mi padre en el aeropuerto para hacer la ruta Viena-Budapest-Bratislava. ¡¡¡Qué ganas!!! Hasta la próxima.

Kosice

Here I am again to update my blog before the expected centroeuropan trip with my father. 

After Terchova camp, the last week of July was spent in my city resting and visiting the tearoom with friends, to organize the first August weekend trip through eastern Slovakia. 

On Friday 1st August after early morning and a hike I reached Gombasecká, beautiful karst cave, before entering ate and met the guide who spoke Spanish as she attended a bilingual school, made the guide in Slovak and me in Spanish. A wonderful place with wonderful figures and decorations and colors. 

In the afternoon, I arrived to Kosice, a super beautiful city was European Capital of Culture in 2013, the afternoon and evening was seeing the city and enjoying bars and nightlife. In a pub I met a Spanish and his couchsurfer, who offered me pass the night at his house, because i had not accommodation, so I agreed and the next day, after a good shower and rest, we visited the city center, the incredible cathedral and enjoyed their ice cream and the ruins of the ancient wall. 

Presov

In the afternoon I went to Presov, another pretty city of Slovakia, though at first there fell a great storm, then cleared and enjoyed the wonderful center, small but full of nightlife. 

As I did not find accommodation, I spent the evening enjoying various bars and pubs until it came my first bus to Poprad, there since Sunday saw the center that was no big deal and took the bus to the ice cave after a route hiking, I arrived at the entrance and for a half hour the temperature was very low and see a wonder of nature, the entire interior of ice. 

After this great show, I took the train back and rest a week and work a couple of days in a Slovak rock festival in Ruzina with a nice lake.

En este sencillo post, os voy a mostrar fotos de las manualidades que hicimos después del 2013 hasta el final del curso escolar, actividades sencillas para los chicos del centro social con diferentes discapacidades.

Terchova Summer Camp

Bienvenidos a otra entrada de mi blog.

Volunteers

Aquí os voy a contar como fue la experiencia en el campamento de verano realizado en Terchova del 19 al 26 de julio con la organización SPOSA, la cual trabaja con personas autistas. Es un poco largo, pero lo merece, y viene bien, ya que hay tormentas todos los días :/

Después de un viaje largo, llegué al lugar donde me encontré con los voluntarios, Simon, Marie y Patrick de SPOSA, Lubo el coordinador, Daniela y un grupo armenio. Todos menos Daniela y yo llegaron la semana anterior para preparar el programa y las actividades ya que las familias con niños autistas llegaban ese día.

Instruments workshop

Fue un día de conocernos todos, introductorio. Nuestro alojamiento era una cabaña alejada del hotel donde era el campamento, unos 400-500m.

Básicamente, el programa era por las mañanas 3 actividades por grupos, manualidades, terapia musical y terapia individual y por la tarde otra actividad.

Domingo 20

Se realizaron ejercicios matutinos y después un taller de instrumentos musicales, todos participaron utilizando materiales comunes algún instrumento. 

Armenian Day

Después del almuerzo, un buen descanso y la tarde fue dedicada a los deportes, tiro a la cuerda, batallas de agua, fútbol. Una tarde divertida hasta la hora de la cena, a las 6 de la tarde :)

Un día agotador y volvimos a nuestro alojamiento a descansar.

Lunes 21

Music therapy

Después del desayuno y los ejercicios, hoy se empezó a separar los grupos, cada hora se rotan para que todos hagan las actividades. Ese día se realizó taller de pintura, se hizo batalla de colores para colorear la camisetas y pintura para realizar a mano las camisetas. En los talleres de música, van los niños y Lubo el guitarrista toca canciones y los demás voluntarios que están con él, les animan a coger un instrumento y hacer música y estar pendiente de los más revoltosos. En la terapia, 3 niños con 3 terapeutas hacen actividades individuales de lógica, razonamiento.

Por la tarde, se celebró el Día de Armenia, dónde hicieron una representación de su país y productos típicos. Después de la cena, de vuelta a la casa.

Martes 22

La mañana como todas las demás, pero a partir de este día, hubo tormentas diarias, así que las actividades las realizábamos en el interior. Las manualidades fueron cartas-bellota y los demás talleres seguían su curso.

Por la tarde, después de clarearse el día, se hizo una pequeña ruta de senderismo y varios juegos, toda la tarde hasta la cena hubo juegos y después una barbacoa realizada por los padres.

Una velada muy amena y divertida.

                           

Miércoles 23

Este día se cambió el programa, la mañana fuimos de visita a un parque-museo con un paseo en tren y ver casas típicas de la región y por la tarde un taller de figuras de mazapán para acabar la cena con una tarta celebrando el 11º campamento para niños autistas realizado por SPOSA.

                               

Jueves 24

La mañana fue completamente normal y por la tarde preparamos un concierto para las familias, con varias canciones buscadas por Lubo y como anfitrión Peter Valo, un niño autista que también canta y toca la guitarra. Fue un día divertido y agotador después de una semana sin parar.

Viernes 25

Último día de actividades, la mañana se dedicó a realizar los disfraces para un concurso que se iba a hacer por la tarde, la velada fue muy amena, viendo las variedades de disfraces y con juegos, los padres prepararon Goulash para todos y una fiesta con vino y cerveza para celebrar el final del campamento. 

El sábado limpiamos todo y recogimos las cosas y después del almuerzo todos volvimos a nuestros lugares.

Trip day

Fue una semana muy divertida y aprendí mucho como trabajar con niños autistas, como ven su mundo, por muy mal que estén, siempre consigues sacar una sonrisa  con la música, los bailes, cualquier cosa, como te aprecian y te sientes querido por ellos.

Ha sido una experiencia muy enriquecedora de manera profesional, pero sobre todo personal.

Espero que sigan haciendo esta labor tan importante para estas personas y sus familias.

Welcome to another post in my blog. 

Here I'll tell you how was the experience in summer camp held in Terchova 19 to July 26 with SPOSA organization which works with autistic people. It is a little long, but it deserves and comes in handy, as there are storms every day :/ 

Marzipan

After a long journey, I came to the place where I met with volunteers, Simon, Marie and Patrick from SPOSA, Lubo the coordinator, Daniela and an Armenian group. All of them,except Daniela and I got the above to prepare the program and activities of the week as families with autistic children arrived that day. 

It was a day to get to know all, introductory. Our accommodation was a cottage near to the hotel where was the people. 

Basically, the program was in the morning three groups activities: crafts, music therapy and individual therapy and other activities in the afternoon. 

Sunday 20 

Morning exercises were conducted and then a workshop of musical instruments, all using common materials involved an instrument. 

After lunch, a good rest and the afternoon was devoted to sports, throw rope, water fights, football. A fun afternoon until dinner at 6 pm :) 

A long day and went back to our accommodation to rest. 

Monday 21 

Concert

After breakfast and exercise, now began to separate the groups are rotated every hour to do all the activities. That day painting workshop was held, did battle colors to colorise the shirts and hand painting to t-shirts. In music workshops, children and Lubo played guitar and songs and the other volunteers who are with him, they are encouraged to pick up an instrument and make music and be aware of the rioters. In therapy, 3 children with 3 therapists do individual activities of logic, reasoning. 

In the afternoon, the Day of Armenia was held, where a representation of their country and typical products made​​. After dinner, back to the house. 

Tuesday 22 

The morning like all the others, but from this day, were daily storms, so the activities we conducted inside. The crafts were letters-acorn and other workshops were ongoing. 

In the afternoon, after clarearse the day, took a small path hikes and various games, all afternoon until dinner was with games and a barbecue made by parents. 

A very fun and entertaining evening. 

Wednesday 23 

This day the program was changed, at the morning we were visit a museum park with a train ride and see typical houses in the region and afternoon workshop marzipan figures to finish dinner with a cake celebrating the 11th camp for autistic children conducted by SPOSA. 

Thursday 24 

The morning was completely normal and afternoon prepare a concert for families, with several songs searched by Lubo and host Peter Valo, an autistic child who also sings and plays guitar. It was a fun and tiring day.

Friday 25 

Last day of activities, the morning was devoted to making costumes for a contest that was going to do in the afternoon, the evening was very enjoyable, seeing the varieties of costumes and games, parents prepared goulash for all and a party with wine and beer to celebrate the end of camp.

On Saturday we cleaned everything and packed up and after lunch we all went back to our places. 

It was a fun week and I learned a lot how to work with autistic children, as they see their world, however bad they are, whenever you get to draw a smile with music, dance, anything, as you appreciate and feel loved by them. 

It has been a very rewarding experience professionally, but mostly personal. 

I hope they continue doing this work so important to these people and their families.
